A Rainbow Rhyme

It rained and rained and rained all day.
The sky was dark.

The clouds were gray.

When the rain stopped,
the clouds went away.

I wanted to go out and play.
I got my boots.

The grass was wet.
There were so many puddles,

I could not play yet!

I looked up.
Above my head,

I saw purple, green, orange, and red.

It was a rainbow!
It filled up the sky.

Soon the colors were gone.
Good-bye, rainbow, good-bye!

I went home so I could draw
all the colors that I saw.
